Projects & Programs
The Bekaa Water Establishment has carried out and continues to carry out several projects in continuous cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Water and with full support from donor agencies with the aim of improving the productivity of the establishment, developing its work and improving the service provided to subscribers by providing the best quality of water.
The Bekaa Water Establishment has implemented projects through tenders held throughout the year. Currently, there are no proposed projects.
In order to develop work, improve service and raise the collection rate, the Bekaa Water Establishment seeks to implement several projects in the near future in order to provide the best service to the citizen in terms of quantity and quality. These projects that are under implementation constitute a basic incentive for the Bekaa Water Establishment to be a pioneer in providing the best service with the best technologies.
The Bekaa Water Establishment is constantly seeking to develop its service and improve its productivity by implementing projects within its geographical scope in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Water and with full and continuous support from donors who are the largest supporters of the establishment. The implemented projects aim primarily to secure the best for the participating citizen.
The Bekaa Water Establishment has achieved many remarkable achievements, the most important of which are:
1. Implementation of many alternative energy projects that include solar energy systems and generators.
2. Repair of pumps and networks.
3. Maintenance and repair of cars belonging to the institution.
4. Increasing the number of subscribers from 80,000 in 2014 to 90,308 in 2024.
5. Securing funding for the operation of sewage plants.
6. Developing the ERP information system of the establishment.
7. Activate the SCADA system.
8. Coordination with donors.
9. Equipping the building of the lioness department with office furniture and linking it to the main building via the communication network.
10. Equipping the building of the Chtoura department with office furniture.
11. Equipping an office in Zahle station for the Department of Informatics to ensure the recovery of data, systems and technical services in the event of natural disasters (Backup).
12. Cooperation with municipalities.
13. Activating the Foundation’s pages on social networking sites.
14. Emergency procedures.
15. Provide mobile generators.
The Bekaa Water Establishment, in continuous cooperation with donors, seeks to develop the capabilities of users working in the establishment and works to develop their professional expertise in the water sector through intensive training courses to keep pace with the development of work and increase productivity, thus providing better and faster service to subscribers.
