External Water Conservation

Instructions for external use

1. During car wash:
– Use a bucket of soap and water to wash your car and turn off the hose tap when you don’t need it.

Check for any water leaks in connections, pipes and hoses.

2. Swimming pool:
– Cover the pond to reduce water evaporation.

– Check the pond periodically for leaks and repair it immediately.

Watering Tips

1. General irrigation:
– Irrigate before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m. to reduce evaporation.
– It is preferable to irrigate several times in a row for limited times instead of continuous irrigation for long periods.
– Water only when the plants need it.
– Be sure to install moisture sensors in irrigation areas to determine the needs of crops for water.

2. Sprayers/Sprinkler System:
– Check the spray valve system for leaks and keep heads in good condition.
– Adjust the automatic sprinklers according to seasonal water needs and weather conditions.
– Do not forget to install an automatic shut-off device that shuts off the spray when it rains.
– Make sure that the sprinklers irrigate only the plantings and not other surfaces.

3. Drip irrigation:
– Install a drip irrigation system for gardens, trees and shrubs. This system reduces excessive water volumes in addition to saving time and fatigue.
-The system slowly drops water onto the roots through a network of pipes and hoses buried underground, helping to reduce waste and utilize larger amounts of water.
